Royal Oak Swimming & Diving Team Rules
1. NO SMOKING
2. NO ALCOHOL
3. NO DRUGS
Penalty: First Offense - Suspension
Second Offense - Dismissal from team
If there is an incident, a conference between the Coach, Athletic Director, Parent, and Athlete must take place.
4. No unexcused absences from meets. Penalty: One meet suspension
5. No unexcused absences from practices. Penalty: One meet suspension. After three unexcused absences, the athlete will be dismissed from the team.
6. If an athlete is not at morning practice, they will not swim/dive at the meet.
7. All athletes are responsible for their equipment. Athletes will be financially responsible for any loss / damage of equipment.
8. If an athlete has an attitude that is detrimental to the team, he will be asked to leave the team.
Varsity Letter Requirements
1. 90 % Attendance
2. Good individual effort as judged by the coaches.
3. All equipment is turned in / paid for.
4. Athlete helped when we hosted meets (OAA/County/Second Chance)
5. Participated in team fundraiser
AND 40 points during the swim season
OR scoring at the OAA Championship meet,
OR an athlete may earn a letter in their second year if they meet requirements 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
